Pour moi qui suis amateur de la musique de Shining, ce chantre de l'illumination par la douleur extrême — voire par le suicide —, ce titre de Ter Ziele me parle de manière singulière. La comparaison s'arrête là, cependant, There is no useless pain offrant un DSBM d'une douleur atroce et authentique.   Après un Through Twilight... passable, Mort crée Descending Further into Nothingness sous le patronyme d'Exiled from Light, un album de DSBM lancinant aux atmosphères spectrales bien meilleur. Malgré tout, le démon de la stagnation continue de le harceler : la batterie est le grand point fort mais certains schémas se répètent et, couplés aux riffs minimalistes, ils empêchent certaines pistes de se distinguer l'une de l'autre. Le début est un peu long mais cet album en vaut vraiment la peine ! Jordan Vauvert
